词根：flu = flow 流动
1. fluctuate
助记：flu(流)+ ctuate →波动，起伏
释义：v. 变动，(使)波动，涨落，(使)起伏
举例：
Body temperature can fluctuate if you are ill.
人患病后体温可能会上下波动。
2. influent
助记：in(向内)+ flu(流)+ ent →向内流→流入的
释义：a. 流入的;n. 支流
举例：
Meanwhile, the sludge volume index would also increase with the increasing of influent flow distribution coefficient.
同时污泥体积指数也会随着进水流量分配系数的升高而增大。
3. influential
助记：influent(流入的)+ ial(关于…的，有…的)→有流入内心的东西→有影响的
释义：a. 有影响的，有势力的
举例：
She is one of the most influential figures in local politics.
她是本地政坛举足轻重的人物。
4. overflow
助记：over(在…上，超过)+ flow(流动)→在上面流动→溢出
释义：n. 溢出，超值;v.(使)泛滥，(使)溢出
举例：
The rivers overflowed their banks.
那些河里的水漫过了河岸。
